i created these fern plantings for centerpieces for my cousin’s wedding this weekend. and as i took pictures, i was intrigued by the shadows on the tablecloths.
here and there a tawny brook prattled out from among the under wood and lost itself again in the ferns and brambles upon the further side. save the dull piping of insects and the sough of the leaves, there was silence everywhere~ the sweet restful silence of nature. ~ arthur conan doyle, sr

have a wonderful week.
Those ferns are a lovely idea for a centrepiece and make a great palette with their shades of green. Thanks for joining in again this week:)
Your ferns did make very ‘pretty’ shadows – and lovely pictures.
Beautiful, and a lovely color palette to go with!
your centerpieces are beautiful, mary. you are such a talented lady!
Thank you, Aunt Linda!
I love the brush you used for the color pallet. Perfect fit for the ferns!
The ferns do create nice shadows and would certainly make a striking centrepiece.
Lovely photos and I love the colour palette you chose – a perfect shape for the images. I bet the wedding tables looked beautiful with your little ferns on them – what a lovely idea.
